The most popular thing to do in Siem Reap is to visit the ancient temples: Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Taprohm, Banteay Srei and some others in the World Heritage Site. Out of the Site, the remote Beng Mealea and Koh Ker are also very impressive because of the huge overgrown ruins in natural condition and peaceful atmosphere. Elephant, hot air balloon, helicopter rides are available in the Angkor Park area. You can also visit a local village by riding oxen cart/horse/bicycle or quad bike.

There are a few museums in Siem Reap to know more about the ancient and modern history of Cambodia: Akira Landmine museum, Angkor National museum and War museum.

Besides the temples, exploring modern Cambodia people and culture is highly recommended. A few fishing floating villages are the places to see houses/shops/school are all floating, another part of the villages is about all house are on 6m-high stilts. In addition to that, you will see Tonle Sap lake, one of the largest fresh water lake in south-east Asia, surrounded by the Flooded Forest. How the lake works/how to catch fish from the lake and the fishermen live/........ will be explained to you.

After walking around the temples at day time, people like to do shopping at night markets, have massage, try local food at the Pub Street in French Quarter ......... We recommend you to spend at least one night during your stay to go there.

If you stay in Siem Reap for more than 3 days, please think about cooking class/ visiting a school/orphanage/pagoda.
